As the holiday season approaches, many cannabis enthusiasts in Port Angeles and Longview are getting excited for a unique shopping holiday known as Green Wednesday. Falling the day before Thanksgiving, Green Wednesday has quickly become one of the most popular times of the year for stocking up on favorite cannabis products. But what exactly is Green Wednesday, and why is it such a big deal? Here at The Link, your trusted dispensary in Washington, we’re here to fill you in on all things Green Wednesday, from its origins to how you can take advantage of our special holiday deals!
The Origins of Green Wednesday
Green Wednesday, often called the “Black Friday of Cannabis,” began in California in the early 2010s and was initially an insider secret among cannabis enthusiasts. As it gained traction, cannabis retailers across the country started offering pre-Thanksgiving deals to help customers stock up for the holidays, and it quickly became an established annual event. Now, just like Black Friday or Cyber Monday, Green Wednesday is an eagerly awaited shopping day with incredible savings on a wide range of cannabis products.
Why Celebrate Green Wednesday?
Thanksgiving is a time to gather with friends and family, and for many, cannabis has become a way to enhance those festivities. Whether it’s to relax before the big meal, ease holiday stress, or simply enjoy the long weekend, cannabis is increasingly part of holiday traditions. Here are a few reasons why Green Wednesday has become such a hit:
- Pre-Holiday Relaxation: Thanksgiving preparations can be overwhelming. From cooking to traveling, cannabis can be a great way to unwind.
- Perfect for Sharing: Green Wednesday deals make it easy to pick up some extra products for sharing with friends or family who also enjoy cannabis.
- Stocking Up for Black Friday and Beyond: Many dispensaries, including The Link, offer exclusive deals only on Green Wednesday, so it’s the ideal time to purchase top-shelf cannabis products without the crowds of Black Friday.
